What's the engine code?... IE cfca. Early rev EGR coolers leaked into the inlet, showing as dropping coolant. I'd be looking at fuel rail pressure, when cranking,.. IE hpfp. And injector testing for clogging? Does it use oil? Compression test for the cylinders... Low compression? EGR...

My CFCA is early 2016, no oil consumption, oil analysis is very good. Just need to eliminate the EGR.

I’m not sure if your repair workshop is following the VW engine manual but if your CXFA is the same as the CFCA there are many parts that require renewal when removing and refitting the balancer shaft module, mainly fasteners but also the intermediate gear assembly if the balancer shaft module...

Why engine out… why again!? On a scale of one to cupcake… how difficult is it to get enough access to swap the turbos over? This is probably on the horizon for me, hopefully over winter / next year.
