Battery type '019' is the biggest that will fit in the space, i'm not a brand snob, as i've hd expensive and cheap batteries fail before they should.. so picked up one of these - 019 AGM Powerline Start Stop Car Battery 12V 95Ah
Point to note, the brains of the operation needs to be told a new...
Can anyone reasonably close to Stoke on Trent help me as My van broke down yesterday after an 80 odd mile trip on the motorway as I pulled into a petrol station near home and filled up, then the van wouldn’t start and the display said low battery voltage at 10.6 volts.
I called VW breakdown and...
Garage called, they had not recoded the newbattery.
They have now coded in the newbattery (from 70A knackerd battery to 85A new one) and updated the serial number.
Going to see how that works out, then turn my attention to the earth.
Thanks all for your input.
I have recently upgraded my leisure battery to 2x 100ah lithium and I've installed a Victron Orion XS 12/12 50 and I've not wired in an ignition feed, so the charger is detecting when to come on from the voltage. All this works fine and I'm getting about 45amp charge when it's running.
Since...

Oooh, that’s interesting. I have a Charger 1 waiting to be installed when I get time. Wonder if I will need to do the same change to the coding then.
Just out of interest, do the buttons on your Bluetti rattle? Just tracked my new rattle down to the buttons on my Bluetti 100 v2. 😥
Fine when in...
My van has that wire connected to the battery treminal - It does stop the Stop/start from working if disconnected.
There is another thread on this forum about it.
Hi Everyone,
I didn't start my T6 for around 3 weeks over Christmas and the battery seemed to die. Was getting about 11.8v and was told I needed a newbattery. So I bought one and things seemed ok for about 6 weeks. Then when I started the van I'd get random faults flash up. Start-stop fault...
The brand newbattery has been disconnected and on charge since last night, refitted it and no change at all to error codes, nothing will reset and running voltage is stable at 12.2 to 12.3 volts, exactly same as when van not turned on. Tried 2 more batteries and no change either (1 is the old...
I’ll also not be bringing a new starter battery as I couldn’t get one in time to bring it and didn’t trust the vague 1-2 days delivery estimate to get one delivered to somewhere I’d be. Thanks to those who offered their tech to code it for me if I’d got one. Another time perhaps. 😃
Hi I'm currently im that situation. what was the fault. My code is turbo charger super charger booster controle A module performance.
The van was parked six months.
Can you help me with that
Thanks
Umar
A couple of questions and help please. Have to fit newbattery to the van. Have got Carista OBD2 . But I have to renew the contract. Can this code battery . Will any warning lights come up on disconnecting and how to reset . Tia
Reluctantly I’ve got to sell my van, only had it 6 weeks but a change in personal circumstances means it sadly has to go.
148,000 miles.
Has full documented service history.
This week has just had the front crank seal replaced, including full cambelt and water pump and oil change.
Gearbox oil...
Have an issue with a Nextbase iQ dash cam. It kind of needs to be wired in using the oBD2 port adapter to access the low battery switch off function. Problem is when I plugged it in head unit goes blank and engine is crank no start. Nextbase suggested contacting a stealership. Wired up the...
You are meant to reset to zero so that the system can "learn" about the newbattery. However, I never bothered when I changed the battery some 2 years ago and I never noticed any difference. Apparently it will learn without being recoded but just takes longer.
If your up against it just get the newbattery fitted and it will work, always get it coded if you can but its wont have any drastic downsides and the van will still work
The newbattery arrived yesterday and I fitted it this morning. It was a bit tight to get in place, mainly due to it's extra width and the fact that it couldn't just be lifted up and lowered straight down but that wasn't a major problem once I had disconnected all the cable and moved everything...
