Replacing failed battery - the third time - Moll, Varta, UPLUS

I should look into a cheap coder unit. Not planning to change to van. Yes, looks like under use / lack of maintenance is the probable cause, however, why were they replacing Molls for free!!! Anyway, loving the new battery so far... they sent me a lithium one to replace the leisure...

    Soft close sliding door retrofit

No coding. Running a 12v perm from wherever (mine was starter battery, through firewall, under cab flooring then up thru C pillar and through to the back) to the new motor is the tickiest part and absolutley no regrets here. First time close every time.

Help coding in larger capacity battery near south Manchester (Stretford)?

As well as the capacity setting you would normally update the serial number (doesn't matter to just that it's different from what was there. That's because the BCM tracks the health of the battery as it ages and reduces capacity, and changing the serial resets this. The BCM should self learn...

    Only starts with a jump!

Sounds like the starter battery is goosed. Get a new one fitted and coded in. Then find a way of keeping it charged up every now and again. Maybe add a solar panel in the windscreen or plug it into the mains charger once every month.
