I view the all in warranty as a nice to have that's largely free if you're happy to run a VW Service Plan and Assist. It's better than nothing but not equivalent to the full extended factory warranty.

They kept mine overnight to check in the morning as the squeal went once warmed up on mine. Covered on extended warranty though so good for that aspect

In my experience is worth it. The first year of the extended warranty I had work done for 7k pounds.
