Yes I think my VW servicing days are over now that the van 6 years old and out of extended warranty. They stated the part was £550. Then there were other parts which turned out to just be a washer then there was dreaded VAT and of course their labour.

While oil leakes are not covered. Which I think is a bit bad really. They all in extended warranty is still worth considering. We've had dual mass flyer wheel, EGR cooler, EGR pipe, all replaced under warranty. Over £2k worth of work.

So same :/ Day 3 of van being in garage and advising injector 4 failed on testing..... Extended warranty (All in) have now approved, but might be into next week before fitting new one :/ Is it a big job fitting a new injector? I know it needs coding. Hopefully it's the correct fix :)

Did they give you the flow rates before and after?.... They may do if you ask.? Because if after a flush or two, if it still fails the flow rate then it's new EGR time. I had the same on the van...... failed two flushes, so replacement was fitted. (Under extended warranty)
