I didn’t ask but he did say that they are finding VW expect them to carry out up to 5 flushes before they will change the egr under warranty which the service manager agreed was nonsense as on a new van this would probably see off any warranty period!!!

Have a look at the All-in-plan mate. 2 years extended warranty, 2 services, 2 MOTs and Breakdown cover. Think its about £32pm 0% but they often have discounts on it taking it down to around £27pm. Works out about £780 over the 2 years which is less than just the warranty you have been quoted.

im assuming 3years new warranty 2018-2021? 2years factory extended - yrs 4+5 2021-2023 ( i opted for this aswell) then 2yrs ALL-IN 2023-2024? - yrs 6+7 ( i opted for this aswell)

...Can't say if the map has any relevance. But that's exactly when mine needed replacing. VW done two flushes and then replaced it... All under extended warranty. Out of warranty it's around £800-£1200 depending where you go. (Part is £600 odd) And new part should be good for another 80k miles.
