    Cabling for Bluetti Charger 2

...under the carpet into the channels that are there, as the bolts push it down tight. Pulling the carpet up also gave me access to the rubber grommet without taking out the glove box - I came into the cab from the engine bay. It’s a fiddly but totally possible DIY job! Heated seats are fine...

    Drivers side rear underside grommet

I’ve searched and read mention of a cable route in through from the rear behind the bumper using an existing grommet. Does anyone know if the grommet circled in the pic (not my van, just a convenient pic taken from the Forum) provides a cable route through and into the offside rear quarter, or...

    Hillside Birchover

These Rabone steel tape threading tools come up from time to time on eBay and at car boot sales. I’ve had my metal mouse since the 1970s. They’re worth their weight in gold.

...any distance unconstrained and goes everywhere except where you want it! My next 2 challenges are getting from the bottom of the A-pillar out to the engine bay and getting from the rear cupboard to below the rear bumper. I’ve found posts showing grommets, but have still to investigate in person.

2017 T6 Electric Handle Tailgate wiring issue

...Recently had the front seats out with all the matting due to a previous owner/convertor putting the EHU lead through the AC drain pipe/grommet so had to dry it all out, and did some sound deadening while it was stripped out (seats, mats, lower dash). Everything else works (lights, door locks...

    Filling screw holes in roof

Omg I can’t believe anyone fitted that c rail like that. I would paint the holes. Then put some rubber grommets.

    Cabling for Bluetti Charger 2

...issues? With respect to getting the cable through the bulkhead, is it just a case of removing the glovebox and the battery and then feeding the cabling through a grommet which is already in place? Apologies if I am way off the mark, but I have not removed any of the cab or dash sections so far.

    Ecoflow alternator charger wire route

All went good. I managed to squeeze the cable through one of the grommets passenger side that comes out behind the battery. It was a squeeze. Another way would be to drop the black neg cable and just put the +ve red through one of the grommets to the battery. The black neg can then be put...

    Heater outlet

Ensure the hole in the van floor has a smooth edge, preferably a heat resistant grommet. I’ve worked on two vans where the underslung heater hose has been cut by a sharp floor edge, I can’t imagine anybody thinking it was going to end well done like that, probably a converter churning out high...

    T6.1 OEM led headlights retrofit

A bit of progress yesterday afternoon. Stripped out the front cab for easy access to factory loom routes and to the grommets behind dash.

Battery charger for leisure battery wirerouting LHD

Most people put the hook up socket under the bonnet and feed the cable in through one of the grommets that lead into either of the footwells. Lots of info on here.

...hole inserts for the top of the rails. But I will endeavor to make some if you wish, out of rubber. Or you can buy off ebay rubber blanking grommets. The instructions mention double sided rubber tape/patches. I can supply these. They also mention rubber sealant, but I'd imagine silicon or...

Vee Dub TDI engine cover fitting

Had similar issue & posted about it too previously. They don't fit well at all. Mines just barely hanging onto the rubber grommets when it is sitting correctly at the front. If I push it fully onto the rubber grommets then it doesn't reach the popper on the front...

Under drivers seat electrics, battery in front of wheel arch

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I think the plan is now to put the battery just in front the wheel arch by the kitchen unit. I have a tailgate, but was going to run the solar cables through the existing grommit. My only issue is I feel like I'm not making great use of the space under the drivers...

Under drivers seat electrics, battery in front of wheel arch

...the battery and the inverter - it can be done but they are going to be large to cope with voltage drop. You'd be better off putting them together in the rear, in fact I'd put the MPPT there too especially if you have barn doors and use the tailgate hinges grommet to route the solar panel...
