    Leak inside passenger footwell

Hi all, I've got a leak coming in which is pooling under the passenger foot well, the other day I also noticed drips coming off the passenger grab handle which makes me think it could be down to the roof rack bolts leaking, having read on the other post. However, when I've come to take off the...

    Rain leak

Is yours a tailgate model? Most likely cause is leaking roof bolts, either the blanking bolts fitted a the factory or the mounting bolts if roof rails are fitted. Remove the bolts and put a small amount of sealant in the bolt holes

Have you checked the rubber bungs in the rain gully behind the doors at the top? Also the roof bolts are prone to leaking?

    Roof bars on Caravelle

There is a good thread on waterproofing the bolt holes that I followed when mounting the awning rail on mine, and you are right to be cautious as leaks here run down inside the body it's not a brilliant design to be honest. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/roof-rail-leak-free-fixing.6121/

Water Leak Rear Pillar by Tailgate

Check the bolt holes/roof rail mounts as they have been known to leak. If you’ve got a poptop, check around the hinge mounting plates.

[Resolved] Leak in to drivers footwell

Exactly the same with my van, I’ve had a couple of people hose the van around the screen and drivers door area, nothing! However, rain and weirdly, a bottle of water poured over the area, and I have a leak! It’s been suggested that it’s either the windscreen or the bolts in the roof that would...

Which? roof rails for a T6?

The roof rails are all pretty similar design from different suppliers - I got my ones from here. https://www.leightonparts.co.uk/roof-bars-lwb-black/ https://www.leightonparts.co.uk/roof-bars-swb-black/ They also do the cross bars although I never bought any...

Leak coming in passenger side next to glove box

What have you got fitted on the roof? Front roof bolts can leak water down the A pillar. Got a pic.of the roof setup?. Also the plenum chamber behind the starter battery can fill up with crud and leak down the airbox.

Leaking roof rail on HiLo - advice on repair?

Morning all! Whilst during last night my kids noticed a big drip of water coming from the sliding hatch to access the pop top. Suspected the roof rail after reading some posts on here (thanks ). Have inspected this morning and as I slid the hatch open a lot of water came down. Sure enough the...

Leak in drivers footwell / bonnet release

Most footwell leaks come from water ingress through front roof rail bolts

[Resolved] Leak in to drivers footwell

Yesterday took the wipers off and scuttle panel. It looked pretty clear to me and water was running down in to the wheel well as expected. When squirting water in there it didn't leak, so I'm confident it's not from the scuttle. The van doesn't have roof bars and the pop top covers the bolts...

Leak coming in passenger side next to glove box

I have exactly the same situation. There is a little closed room between 2 panels. And when this room fills enough with water, it runs into cabin. Did you find out where the water comes? Could it be the weather strip between A pilar and door? Its mounted with clips and when i spayed water into...

Leak coming in passenger side next to glove box

Hi guys, just checking that the roof bar leak was the problem, I've the same leak but it's not my bar mounting bolts, the water leaks in and fill a cavity behind the upper passenger (Left hand) door hinge, if the rubber loom carrier is pulled away from vehicle side you can with a torch see the...

Leak coming in passenger side next to glove box

I hope you resolve your leak, there is nothing worse than a leak in a vehicle. Something you might want to check, take a 25 torq driver, and remove the two bolts which hold the metal barrier behind the vehicle battery. The bolts are accessed through the oval vent above the upper rubber seal on...

Dave, I have unfitted awning rails from Stitches & Steel sitting here. You're welcome to come and have a look to see if they would work. I had a set on my Caravelle with no leaks, and at £24 (when in stock) they are a bargain
