Yes my T6.1 starts regen at 30...stops at 6. I always set trip meter when regen finished, to know roughly when next one is due...around 320km... although coming back from Mallacoota towing boat , was 398km.
Mines a 2017 Euro 6 stop/start so those buttons should be good, hopefully the Passat ones that come with the wheel will work given it’s non CCS. I’ll update with how I get on🤞
Dont have vcds, but i may ask my indy to look into it if a new fuel filter doesent help. He has vcds. It runs perfectly once started, and has had an easy, looked after life. Since the vid earlier today it started fine and had multiple start ups inc with stopstart with no prob.
Yeah I did pal. Check this thread for my fix.

No other lights apart from the “A” startstop error and that it is idling at 1000 or just over.. drives lovely but has put a bit of a downer on day 1 with van :-(
There must be something up with it. Any lights on the dash. Stopstart error come up with the oil pressure sensor with a flashing coil light.
The regen could’ve started 5 miles ago. It start when the dpf is at 100% and finishes when it’s at 30% with 8.5 grams of soot.
This is a bit confusing as 11.2 mbar is not too far from normal, however at 17 mbar I have noticed l noticed issues arising.
@Cowood3223 could you please make a VCDS log - I'm interested to see the DPF process more closely.
Please set up data recording of the following:
Ignition ON
VCDS >...
Current online buzz from ‘mechanical influencers’ seems to be around stop/start - I see it all the time on YouTube at the moment.
Personally it doesn’t pass my BS filter as my golf (also with pretty much the same engine as the van) is eleven years old, I never turn the stop/start off and it’s...
Hi People,
I am a new forum VIP member and have just taken receipt of a campervan conversion T6.1 2023 reg (18000 miles).
Last weekend the van was parked in the drive during the heavy rainfall we all experienced last weekend. On the Monday popped out for a short run and the van stalled three...
Used to happen to my van quite regularly.
Once I started disabling STOP / START every time I started the engine it never happened again, that was years ago.
Evening all,
I have a 2018 4motion 204 Kombi.
Will try to keep it short……….
Tuesday morning started the van, went in the house, came back out it had stopped. Thought no more of it, used it all day no issues.
Wednesday morning same thing, now thinking can’t be coincidence what’s going on...
Welcome to the Forum, and our bunch of psychos/ Psychics helpful VW enthusiats.
Please give us a few more clues as to the fan and stopstart issues you are having. It is likely quite normal.
I'm aware of the light braking technique, unfortunately it's hilly round here, and you need to be hard on the brakes to stop the van rolling.
The T6.1 has a very well documented lag in drive take-up, of which loads have had remaps to get rid of it. No idea why VW thought a lag was a good idea...
As a short term ‘fix’ try coming up to a stop gently - as if you are going to inch forward rather than stop.
My T5.1 isn’t blessed with stopstart but my Golf (of the same year) is. That’s a DSG and I find slowing to a gentle stop, like a chauffeur, means the stop/start doesn’t kick in. If I am...
...starting and was diagnosed during recent service with low capacity. I’m going to get a Varta probably, now my T6 102 is a 2015 CAAB non startstop model. I’m hoping it will not require any VCDS reprogramming as there’s no monitoring sensors connected unlike the ones on a 6.1 Stop/Starter. Can...
