HI, looking to purchase a T6 in the next few weeks pending finance being sorted. Currently have my eye an a lovely conversion on eBay from Woodstock campers. Hopefully get a look at it this weekend, quite stressed about spending so much on a vehicle without any expertise.

I live in Woodstock and know the garage. Which one are you looking at? What is it you need a hand with?

The white T6 with black wheels. Not sure its on a garage. Its by a firm called Woodstock campers. Not so much that I need a hand more that its more money than I have ever spent on a motor and I know kittle about motors at the best of times. Certainly it looks the part. Wish it had a scenic roof and a tailgate but apart from that its gorgeous

Just found the advert on ebay and also the company website. Interestingly, there are only Ford Transit campers on the company website and no VWs.....wonder why?
This is there webpage: Woodstock Campers Conversions | Woodstock Campers | England
Does anyone have knowledge of this company and their workmanship for a new member looking to part with £31k?
Although called Woodstock Woodstock motors, they are an hour from Woodstock and so maybe it's just a name rather than the location! Hopefully someone will have some knowledge of them as they claim to have been around for decades.....

Looking at van pictures it looks nice ...but the seats have got no arm rests which would indicate its was once a very basic van...lots of drivers want the comfort a captain seat gives ..that type of battery charger does not except solar input..to change any of that could prove expensive..a few things to consider ;) @VinylArchie

Update on DVLA 158g/km CO2 reading believe equates to 84ps engine for that reg number ( not got a lot of power )

Thanks for the response, originally it was an Eon van. Would have thought that many conversions start life as commercials no? As to power I thought that they were just over 100 ps? With that in mind I was going to look into having it looked at by pendle performance. A captains chair would have been nice but looking around available stock im finding it impossible to find the perfect van without paying crazy money. That is crazy enough for my wallet.

Just looked up the spec and co2 looks correct for 102hp. You have me thinking now and an armrest would have been really nice. However for the price this is the Nicest van I have seen by a long way. Really really like the style of the conversion. It has been suggested that I build it myself but I’m not sure I have the time and energy and I think if I did it would end up costing more!

You could always buy a non converted van with better base spec and add the extras later ..but that will reflect on your budget..at the moment ready made converted used vans are commanding lots of money...however if it ticks all of your boxes go for it

One last question, you mentioned solar. Could you not connect to the battery via a seperate regulator. Would that be a massive hassle?

Yes you can connect via separate system...I’ve got a Ctek system and that allows me to trickle charge the starter battery once the leisure battery is fully charged on solar....I’m not an electrician but some systems are not all compatible or prove expensive to modify

Hi, has anyone got any experience of Woodstock Campers? There is a camper that I am interested in buying that was converted by them, just want to be sure of the quality of their work. Cheers, Steve
