Winter tyre setting on MFD?

Just looking at computer on dash and I have a setting for winter tyres which was set to on
Never had winter tyres just changing setting wondered haw it affects van as cannot feel any change?

It's for setting a speed limit warning... if you want to.

You can set the speedo display limit, mine is on 140kmh and when above 140 the digital speedo disappears and is replaced with a speed warning. Need to drop to around 135 for about 5 seconds for the warning to dissappear.
