Hi guys

I’m gonna get a wind out awning on the van, unsure what side to have it as I see vans with it on either side, my van has sliding doors on both sides any info would be appreciated

Get two :)

... Some campsites insist on you reversing in with the offside rear to the back corner of the pitch - this is the only time I can see it really matters otherwise I’d say just take your pick - one thing to consider is if you have or are considering a conversion which slider will you use most for getting in/out of the van and will benefit most from the shelter and shade.

We’re not putting kitchenette in so both doors will be used to get in and out, so passanger side to cover the camp site issue ?

Passenger side is the more usual side - a lot of the van’s you see with them on the drivers side will be Californias and as a result of the slider being that side because of the layout of the living accommodation, i.e. designed around a left hand drive vehicle.

Ours is on passenger side and because swmbo insists on having her evening prosecco facing the sun our roof is always inclined to the north (it's front hinged). Hence our solar panel always faces north :-|
