Which Cable?

I can work out which cable to buy new, but how will I know if a used one on ebay will work.

I can see one that is version 15.7.1 but I dont know what this means and how to work out if it would work.

Any info would be gratefully received.

If the advert has a software version attached to it then it’s a fake cable being sold with hacked software
The software is free to download by anyone and you pay for the interface, a genuine interface will run any software version and is updateable for the life of the product but a fake is tied to the software being supplied with it and updating the software will cause the interface to stop working

EDIT: It seems that the older interface cables might not fully support any more MY19 T6's --> Transporter 2018 + HEX V2
