The back now has wheel arch covers and the jack can't go there, and in my old van, the jack went under the passenger seat, but that's got a battery under it. There will be a sub going under the driver's at some point- so....... any suggestions as to where I can safely store this lump of metal?

No, I havn't ever used the stuff. But thought it might be something I would need in my emergency kit.
BMW's come with tyre weld and a small compressor, and no spare wheel.
I thought about mounting mine on the underside of the bonnet, there's lots of room and it won't get in my way.

I don’t have one, the one on my Q5 was a load of rubbish.
Same on most Audi’s, the weld doesn’t work imho.
I use this tyre sealant off eBay but with having 20” wheels the seller tops up to 550 mm at no extra charge.

I had it installed on my last 4500kg motorhome with tpms and had an alert that loosing pressure on front drivers wheel 56psi reduced to 54 psi and it immediately sealed at 54 psi.
Two years later sold the van and never had to have the tyre repaired, hence I’ve put it in our T6.

Used it to remove wheels for painting etc, so know it works fine, and leave it under the bed ready to go. Worth the money even if I never have to use it........
