Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Spending the weekend in North Wales, staying at Gwern Gof Lsaf Farm campsite, we were going to go for a walk this afternoon but the snow and hail has come in sideways, so decided to Stay in van, finish off the last Christmas snacks and drinks, hopefully we can get a good winter hill walk in on Saturday, fingers crossed.
It’s £11 per person, no electric hook ups on site, but have showers and toilets, water/wash up area.

Then scorch home to Northampton today under blue skies and white roads...

Never had Bridgestone tyres before but it's like fitting Adidas Samba to your wheels.

There you go, only downside is the lack of wall height, 35 profile meaning I'm about 5 foot nothing in these bad boys but corner like a demon.

I was going to drive down to feed the pony but the frost has decided to keep the doors from opening. So a walk it was and a rather chilly one at that…..-8°C here. I’m sure it’s far colder up north though.

After being on the continent for three weeks finally back in the UK.

Down to the convertors today to discuss a way forward, already have a quote for sound deadening/insulation and carpet lining, however I needed to add in electrics cost and a fiamma, originally was just going with a forty winks bed, but now very tempted by a mobiframe, in the past I've had an RIB bed in previous van I always felt it was too high and not particularly comfortable. I've already agreed a price for the kombi seats, wont have the cost of the 40 winks, sorely tempted.....

Motorhome dealers group in Poole as the vans starter battery needed to be replaced under warranty as it would just about start the van, arrive a little late as road conditions slowed everyone down a bit. A friendly greeting and they whisked the van away. Half hour later she was back with both starter and leisure batteries replaced, as the old starter one had taken the leisure battery down to the point of no return. Great no quibble service. Hopefully no more issues starting on these cold days.

Currently in Limone Piemonte in Northern Italy. Arrived this afternoon after a lengthy drive down from Dunkirk. Hitting the slopes tomorrow. Just had a stroll around the very pretty town for a pre prandial beer.
