Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

IMG_3994.jpeg

I’ve been nowhere in it but the van has gone off for a few days!

Got back into the UK last week after 3500 miles in France and Spain and the clutch pedal sank overnight on the driveway. Luckily I have home recovery so it went today ready for tomorrow for them. It was a bit of a palaver getting the thing off my drive onto the road too, considering I live just after a bend and the van was blocking one side of the road. It amazed me, how many people either didn’t see me, ignored me, or didn’t have a f***ing clue what a guy doing the slow down motion with his arms prior to the bend actually meant!!

Thank god it happened over here and not whilst you was on holiday mate

ike the Beta, out of interest where do you take it? Know some friendly farmers?
Living in the Yorkshire Dales we are quite lucky as there are many places all around us. I actually keep it on the farm where I spent many years so I have riding literally on my doorstep. There are also lots of places around us that do Pay and Play and we know a few places to ride for free.

Not today but yesterday we took a drive down to our local(ish) beach at Weston Super Mare the idea being to have a long walk followed by tea and scoff at the van but we arrived only to find half the sea front (including the important beach car park) closed as they were preparing for an upcoming event. We therefore diverted to Brean and had a quick yomp around Brean Down followed by a cuppa and pre-prepped smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels in the NT car park (van towards the far end).20251009_124654.webp
