Is that the Vango awning that can also be fitted to the tailgate models?Stourport on Severn - first time sleeping in the vanView attachment 293608
This is the question I wanted to ask. But then instantly forgot what I was thinking. Well doneIs that the Vango awning that can also be fitted to the tailgate models?
Very true, it stopped drizzling and we walked to and from the pub in the dry and had proper beer, something I’ll miss on our European trip in 2 weeks! You wouldn't like it here as it's actually too hot, while looking for our platform at Gare St.Jean Bordeaux back to the campsite in Arcachon one of the station workers asked us if we needed water as I looked like a salami and the wife looked like she had escaped from a sauna... 35 C and no breeze.

Just cleared my bill for the onsite metered electric, as it was 0.5 units @29p a unit I wasn’t chargedVery true, it stopped drizzling and we walked to and from the pub in the dry and had proper beer, something I’ll miss on our European trip in 2 weeks!
Bit gutted as when we booked there wasn't a no EHU option so I've been fully off grid more as an experiment than a requirement.Just cleared my bill for the onsite metered electric, as it was 0.5 units @29p a unit I wasn’t charged![]()

and John Corby trouser press.

We did helvellyn and striding edge last time we went , atrocious conditions, fell off a rock on the way up and filled my boot full of ice cold stream waterJust back from a weekend in the lakes with a few friends. Hiked up Scafell Pike yesterday in pretty atrocious conditions. High winds, non stop rain, streams were raging torrents to be crossed and 20 m visibiity. Despite decent kit everything and everybody was totally soaked to the skin.
I'll post some pics if my wet iphone comes back to life.
Can't beat returning to the van and having a brew and space to get changed followed by beers and a BBQ.
What tent is that?Up to Newcastle for a Uni open day. Stayed at ‘Wild Camping’ Hedley on the Hill, with a great pub. Stitched a bead onto the awning to fix it easily to the wind out canopy.

I had no idea, as it came with my previous van, so I just looked it up. It is from www.dwt-zelte.com and is a Fjord III weighing in at a ludicrous 16.5kg. It appears they are still going if you happen to be on the continent. What tent is that?
