Another warm welcome, this time at Red Wharf Bay. 🤬 Didn't even see Craig Charles (IYKYK)
Yep went there last year don't think I will be going back ,they really don't seem to like campervans. Did the same at Beaumaris turned round after being told it was £15 regardless off the fact I only wanted to stay for an hour or so ! Even the carpark round the corner was 1 set price no hourly rate :mad:

Drove down to Brancaster to Deepdale Camping and Rooms, lovely site, it’s fairly quiet despite being busy, quite a few T6’s on the site, inc a lovely grey 18 plate.

Pics to follow.

Just spent the last four nights at camping Le Fief Angibaud, near the village of St Gervais in Vendee a really nice quite site in the countryside run by an English couple, they have loads of local knowledge.
From the site easy drive to the coast to visit Port du Bec with lots of seafood to be had, also the Passage du Gols (longest submersible causeway in Europe) which leads on to the ile de Noirmoutier, it’s full of cycle tracks, further south is St Jean de Monts again lots of cycle tracks through the pine forests

My home town. Desperate Dan and Minnie the minx from the Beano and Dandy books.
You should head to Broughty Ferry
That’s where I live.
It’s got a huge Sandy beach next to a cracking castle.
Also has great pubs, hotels and shops.
It was a small fishing village that Dundee swallowed.
I can advise on pitches and loads of other things.
Pm me for information.
I can send you up a few different glens with free off grid pitches if your going further north up the east coast

Thank you @The Flying Scotsman but we're camped at Scone C&CC just for another few days and off to see the Kelpies tomorrow and want to get a visit to Edinburgh.
If I’d known you were up this way I could have sent you to some really cool places.
Edinburgh is a special city.
Something I was really impressed with was the ghost tours. I thought they would be lame but they were very interesting and a load of fun especially after a few drinks.
The guide tells you about the history of the city and the Scots.
Another good laugh is the dungeon tour. The actors are brilliant and again it’s lots of interesting Scottish history.

And so it begins...

Ever wondered where all the coffin dodgers Transporters go to mate?
Off to the VW spawning grounds in France.
First pics on the Barfleur out of Poole to Cherbourg this morning followed by our first Aire and cuppa 150 miles into France with about 100 left to go... it's 35C and the Aire compost toilet was a little yeasty.
Why don't we have Aires in Blighty, what's wrong with us?

After a couple off days at Camping la Cite, Carcassone (¢24 and well worth it), we're now at Camping La Plage in Argeles sur Mer. It's a very good site at about ¢26 per night (ACSI) - there's a nice pool if that's your thing (not ours though), it's about 500M from a very large sandy beach on the med and it's also very hot (late 30s) but our pitch is very well shaded by trees.
This is Carcasonne from the campsite - pics of the current place to follow.
