Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

We're at Clos Bouyssac near Touzac on the river Lot. Warming up again today after storms sat night. Lovely site on the river bank with pool and bar run by friendly Dutch people. Have to be careful boarding on the river - most of the time it flows very slowly but at random Pierre somewhere must open some sluices and it flows quicker than I can paddle! 25 euros a night with Acsi and facilities first class

Parked in the carpark by Beaumaris Castle £6.00 all day (regardless of how long/short time you want). The big carpark/field on the seafront charges £7.50....or £15.00 for vans o_O I even saw a Caddy turning away. Outrageous discrimination IMHO. Will not be returning.
Took a trip out to Puffin Island. Saw lots of birds, a few puffins, couple of curious seals & a couple of porpoise fins. All too far away to photograph.

Love Beaumaris and we always park on the big car park on the sea font as it's a lovely view. Won't be at that price though - no need to charge different for vans as you can't camp there or anything. All they do is lose business, so silly.

We're camped at Kingsbridge Caravan Park, only a couple of miles outside Beaumaris. There's some fab looking pubs in town which we may well have gone to for lunch this week, but not with a £6 (or £15) surcharge. On street parking is max 60 minutes, so sorry Beaumaris, we'll be taking our hard-earned elsewhere. Ridiculous

Drove Nelson (which the T6.1 has been duly named) down to the car wash, he had a good wash & brush up ready for a couple of days in North Norfolk then on to The Cotswolds to meet friends for a couple of days.

I never pay to park. I’d park 2 miles away and walk in before I get mugged off by a greedy council.
