Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

@GUMY whats the midge situation like
None so far 👍(although the front of the van is a bit of a smorgasbord)

Great crossing on a perfectly calm sea and glorious weather. T6's given pole position

Arrived at Sligachan campsite. It was our second choice, and I was a bit worried about the "hard standing" pitches and facilities (website doesn't give much details) but Lewis, the manager who greeted us, sorted us out with a perfect spot on grass that feels like luxury after the previous sites. Facilities are excellent and clean, and the view... OMG I think I've died and gone to heaven!

Perfect location for exploring the rest of the island, and a million dollar view for 35 quid a night (EHU incl.) And there's even a pub literally just across the road

Another satisfied customer at the Berwick Seaview C&MC site. It’s a nice site and reasonably priced. Good views and right next to the East Coast Main Line for passing trains! We haven’t been to Berwick itself for about 15 years and were very happy with what we found. An interesting town with good places to eat and also some evening live music. We would like to return.

We are heading up to Scottyland in a couple of weeks, for a couple of weeks, so reading your posts and pics with interest. Praying for the same weather as you’ve had…looks amazing…Keep em coming!

Unfortunately our hiking days are behind us because one of us suffers from angina. We drove down to the car park for the Fairy Pools this morning, but took one look at the gradient of the path and turned around. The road incidentally is nowhere near as bad as some reviews make out, and the last mile or so has recently been resurfaced.
We had a lovely day pootling around, up to Neist Point (photos) and back via Portree to Sligachan to soak up the view & sunshine (make hay etc. etc.)
