Sorry Mac, Im rambling as usual.
I was bemoaning that £200 used to be considered a lot of cash, house-buying mkney when I was born, and now £200k doesnt seem all that much. We'll be like the lira or the yen before long - £10,00,000 for a paper and a pack of Bensons.

Did they close Belmont Road, up to the Pigeon Tower? I can't imagine why they closed that road!
That’s the one, the Ice Cream Run on the way down. There was an Ocado van stuck down it a couple of weeks ago!

Over the last week we've done well over 1,000 miles in the van; Devon at the start, NEC on Wednesday and just got back from Edinburgh. Bit of a mile-muncher.
WTF that's just beyond comprehension. How does anyone with more than 1 brain cell do that.

On Saturday our teens went off to have a birthday sleepover with some cousins so we took the opportunity to fire off in the van for a cheeky night away at the Welltrough Hall Farm campsite, Lower Withington. It overlooks the the Cheshire Plain/Alderley Edge and isn't too far from Jodrell Bank.
Quite a nice quiet site with decent facilities (plus pigs, alpacas and Highland cows) and a relatively small number of pitches - it's adults only though so not somewhere we would normally have looked at.
Went for a nice 5 mile walk on a sunny Sunday morning and ended up getting a bit closer to the big radio telescope.
As ever, the main test of any campsite is if the local boozer is any cop and have to say the food and ale in The Red Lion was pretty great and is about a 15 minute walk away via a purpose built footpath. Darby the Beagle also gave it top marks for having access to a roaring fire for her evening baking session!

Never underestimate the off-road capabilities of a company vehicle. Same goes for hire vehicles
Been back to JCT600 Sheffield today, to have the freebie NSR ABS sensor fitted, carry out the annual MOT & a yearly service.
Got given an ID Buzz as a loan vehicle
Nice van to drive, quite nippy from a standing start at the traffic lights drag race.
But then received a phone call, saying failed MOT
Now waiting to see if the remaining 3 days of the "All In Plan" will cover this sensor.
I'll get a response from Vw UK within 48hrs.
After approval, as it's not an in stock parts dept item, it will need to be ordered & then fitted.
Drove up into Finland, left the van in a carpark and went on a snowy trek up a mountain to stay in a cabin overnight, (like a Scottish bothy) Got the stove going and had pot noodles and chocolate for tea, went to bed and woke up later that night to see the northern lights, next day we went extreme sledging, think I became inverted on one jump, great fun but so so cold, only did 3 runs,
