Wheels bought...

I've not even got my van yet (Kombi 150) and I've just dropped £900 on a set of 19" rims for it

Seriously, I'm like a kid on the run up to Christmas waiting for it, (September delivery)

Now to decide what lowering springs to get, H+R 40mm drops looking favourite at moment unless someone can recommend good 50mm drop springs?

Tyres fitted to wheels are 245 45 19 on 8j rims

If you plan to run your van with little to no cargo DO NOT buy H&R 40mm springs at the moment
I currently have a set on mine and everytime I touch a pothole or slight bump in the road its like a bag of spanners in the bag, still working through this to see if its H&Rs in general or just a faulty set of springs.
Got a new set of rears coming in the next couple of days so will know in a week or two if the new ones are ok, will post an update as soon as I have news

Ironically, I probably will have a bag of spanners in the back of my van at times :D

What wheel and tyre combo are you running Pauly? Have you tried the van with the standard wheel set up back on? I have specced 45 profile tyres to try and give at least some cushioning.

I'm running the standard VW 17" alloys on a T32 Kombi think there called Devonports
FWIW the more load I carry the less the noise gets but its a family wagon so don't carry anything much, I only put the springs on to stiffen it up slightly as found it far to soft when cornering with to much body roll for my liking

If new springs don't change it (got a set coming from a different batch) I will got to Eibach 30mm springs instead, fortunately the place I bought them from is very helpful and happy to exchange FOC and pay carriage etc but its a PITA taking it to garage

O.k, very interesting! Keep us updated if a 2nd set of springs improve the situation as I'd only read good reports on the H+R set up, although admittedly these were on the T5 model.

Anyone else got dynamic suspension.
What do you think of it?

I only use if I want to press on a bit, on sport it real stiffens suspension, cuts down on body roll in the bends.

Nice alloys @CRD, are they bronze colour or is it just the photo.
3sdm 0.04 19s going on mine

Nice @Walski, what size tyres will you be running? Mine are gloss black with bronze fronts so to speak, strictly 'summer' wheels, will be using the 16" standards through winter. I have been looking for wheels for a while and like the look of the Axe CS lite in hyper black, but had to go to 20" for the correct load rating but really wanted no larger than 19". When I found the Syclones, liked the look of them immediately, so ordered before I could change my mind!

Hopefully will be running 255 45 19s but all depends on how the van sits once it's on air.... I need it to be low to get it in my garage!!

I may eventually get round to fitting coil overs, but won't be for a few years yet. Are you getting your wheels from Rimstyle by any chance?

No, StancedUK. They are fitting my airride and alloys at the same time

Was tempted by 3sdm 0.06 but wanted Matt black alloys because I'm too lazy to clean them every five minutes.

So you didn't go with Jonathon air Ride uk then? He too busy?

I can't get any contact from him and he never seems to have all the kit in!!! I've emailed him loads of times to try to pay a deposit and book it in but no joy!!! In the end I had no option but to shop around.

Not had any issues with my H&R's 40mm drop springs running 20" Range Rover Supercharged alloy's in 8.5k miles.
It's true it runs a little better with weight on-board but handles a lot better than my 30mm factory lowered Sportline T5.1 with 18" Sportline alloy's.
