Wheel alignment - Gloucestershire

As per the title, need to get my wheel alignment adjusted.

I live in Cheltenham. Have used a place in Bristol some time ago and can't remember the name.

Would rather not have to travel to Bristol so does anyone have a recommendation for a good wheel alignment capability in the Glos/Chelt area?

Thanks.

This company is based in Cirencester. I have not used them for the van yet but they will be the place I will go. Cirencester Tyre & Exhaust Centre Ltd

They are one of the few tyre companies that you would trust with your daughters car! And they actually place the balancing marker on a new tyre for the valve position adjacent to the valve! Which in my experience is quit novel as nobody can be bothered normally.

It's a small family run outfit but they have the Hunter wheel alignment system the last time I checked. Suggest you ring them to satisfy yourself and check.

The dealers aren't out of the way price wise for this job. I recently paid £100 to have the Scirocco done.

I know I have asked this question before but who is the current 'go to' specialist for wheel alignment in my area.
Have just swapped the wheels over to my winters and notice that both fronts are showing wear on the inside shoulder.
Need someone that knows Transporters and their alignment kit - not always an easy combination to find!
Thanks.

I've used Pritchard Motor Services in the past - still good??

TIA!

Find a crash repair place with a good rep. They invariably have the best equipment and most experience.

V Hub has quoted £90 (not sure if that is subject to VAT).
Seems high, but is that the going rate these days?

Afternoon, old thread but not sure where to go next other than ask for some help.

I have a T6.1 T32 4Motion Camper. I've had it since new, it's on raised Bilsteins with 17in Twin Monotype Projekt wheels and Michelin Cross Climate 2 Tyres 235x65x17 108, previously on BF Goodrich KO2s.

I've always suffered from the nearside front tyre losing its outer edge. You can see from the image how bad it's got (don't worry new tyres on order!)

I've taken the van to numerous places for alignment over time, VW, local specialists however despite adjustments it's never any better. The van drives well but always wears down the same tyre. VW's advice was to run high pressures, so I think they're at 55 or something?!

I reached out to V Hub (mentioned in the thread) who kindly replied to say

"We are only able to adjust to factory measurements therefore if your vehicle has modified suspension we would not be able to complete effective adjustment".

So question:

Has anyone found a garage who can adjust off-spec or anyone solved this issue on a T6.1 Swamper?

I'll be so happy once I crack this one!

Many thanks.

We can do this for you - We have Hunter Elite and all the setting for a Transporter to get your alignment spot on.

How much tread is left on the NSF tyre in the centre? Vehicles will always wear the NSF front outer of the tyre, especially when heavy due to roundabouts etc, but there may also be an underlying problem .

Happy to have a chat
