So whilst I sit here and wait to pick up my van ( can't get there! ) I'm building a list of all the things I need to buy to have ready.. One of the items I'm having a look at is possibly the Kenwood Sub under the P seat.. Now is there any cabling already under the seat as this I believe is a sub that can be specced at VW.. Or is it a full fishing cable job? many thanks.

Firstly, I don't know for sure....
However, if it's anything like the T6 ('makes sense that it will be) then it will be dependent on what spec your van is?
My early (Euro 5) highline has a handful of small wires under the P seat, some also have a chunky 12v feed from the battery and some have a host of relays etc. All of this depends on things like tow bar prep, heated seats, electric door closing etc.

Sub woofer will go under there. We’ve done a few on the 6.1. We use the 8” focus active
