What Wheels On A T6

Good evening,after much deliberation I am plucking for a T28 102 panel van,as we all know the wheels don't look particularly great as standard.
So if I have this right if I go with an 18 inch alloy then it wont compromise the ride or economy much,the 20 s are much firmer and not ideal if your local roads are shocking.
Now the van is going to be my everyday mode of transport and wont be modifying a great deal but will definetly be changing the wheels to a larger rim and slightly wider.
Any suggestions on what I should be looking at,you will have to excuse my lack of knowledge in all this but I am completely new to the transporter game .

Sorry I should of added that I don't want to go over the top with the looks of the wheels but something that looks smart

Nah, can't go wrong with steels mate. I powder coated mine black and they look great. Just got 18" steels too in gunmetal, also awesome.

Standard on the 16s and 255/45/18 on the new ones. Had to go 103 rated too. They're aren't many.

These are original fit wheels as an upgrade to standard wheels from VW ...or you go aftermarket..

That’s more like what I am after pal,just been on the website and wow they are a pricey bit of kit,think it will be hunting around on gumtree or e bay for something that’s not going to break the bank
