What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

60W soldering iron and be quick as they melt!
Hold the XT in a vice
I just bought these:

12AWG so only about 30A rated at 12v (they're only like 2" long), but on the input side at 19V or so from a panel, even 300W is only about 16A ish I think. And my panel is only 160w atm

Looking good @step ! They look quite different to my THQ ones, what make are they?
They are actually marked up as VLand. But got them from a different seller from ebay for a much better price. Came with the additional harness and after following some coding instructions found on the forum they work a treat. Much brighter than the old halogens.

Had my electrician around today to do a couple of small jobs on the house. He showed up in T6 with 6.1 front end conversion with 199k miles. Got chatting about vans and he mentioned that he had to go to somewhere in Yorkshire to get his halogens headlights coded for main beam to stay on , when high beam selected.
Nonsense, I said !
Whipped out the Carista and did it for him along with the other "Gucci" mods most folks do.
He is well happy.
Mentioned he might like to reduce my bill....

Hmm.........
Hi @Dundee_Kev, you’re title says you are an MOT tester and your hmmm suggests doubt?I had a full diagnostics test done. The engine light was cleared. The photo shows the diagnostics results. The tests seemed to indicate that everything was working within limits though the low flow warning that was coming up was put down to the EGR needing cleaning/replacing. There are no warning lights on the dash now.

Fitted my stainless side bars, gave the mounts a good dose of lano while I was under there.

Fitted the dual-tone horn kit. Plug and play, works a treat. Went in from under the bumper with no problems, and though performing keyhole surgery with arms and hands as big as mine takes some patience.

Does the new horn sound good @Sasquatch ?
Quite disappointed with the one I changed out last year!

It sounds great thanks Wayne. The old one had Huw Edwards messaging me on whatsapp and offering me money to taske my hat off, but the new one when sounded saw Burt Reynold's ghost briefly appear and nod approvingly. A big improvement for not a lot of folding.
