What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Not all by me but a new gloss black grill and badge, smoked T6. 1 style rear lights with dynamic indicators and a a full set of Nutexa discs and pads. Oh and it sailed through the MOT. Should be set for Christmas in Chamonix. Will be on sandwiches though after all the outlay!

Got any pics ?

Lucky enough to have use of a wood workshop on the US base I'm at, so used the original flimsy side panels to make 4mm copies

Does it matter that they only have standard ply and not exterior grade? I might treat at least the floor before I put the vinyl down just in case?

so I purchased a transporter HQ arm rest and bracket, and I wasn’t happy with the way it really clashed hard with the passenger seat, whipped the bracket back off, quick trip to work and reduced the length of the mounting spigot by 10mm. Welded everything back up and it now sits so much better.

These arrived last week and the OEM rotary switch (from Lithuania) this week.
Yesterday I whipped off the old offside one and after a bit of fiddling to swap the antennae got the new one fitted shortly after dark and before I lost all feeling in my fingers. Didn’t have time to fit the Chinese control module yet.
This morning we drove off to collect a Christmas tree and I immediately noticed an annoying vibration of the mirror because the rotary connection is quite a lot less stiff than the one I took off.
I’m hoping that a bit of shimming will alleviate the problem and will try this with other side before I fit it.
Anyone else had this problem? I wonder!

4mm :)

So i went ahead and copied the rear panel exactly the same as the original, but then realised i didnt really need to cut out these notches... what are they for, the wiper motor cover? Looking at vanshades though and it looks as though this part is covered up and hidden anyway?

You can buy a plastic cover and clips from CW which covers that area irrespective of motor being in place. Mine lasted about 5 mins before the rattling hit the better of me, so I spec’ed my rear hex panel to not have the cutout. Just giving you the heads up in case vansgades doesn’t cover or you’re tempted by the wiper motor cover.

Rear wiper cover. Could probably add this to the 'clips locations' thread wherever that is.
