What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Probably not on everyones top to do items but last time i deep cleaned the water tank, i was shocked how much black mould had gathered in the pipework to and from the tank. So replaced all the hoses with transparent ones to keep an eye on the mould build up. Took the opportunity to move the tank and create more storage space in the rib too

I bought a chargeable cupboard light and stuck Velcro on the back so I can attach it to the support bar for my wind out awning.
Will give us some light if we’re sitting out at night.

Good little lights them. We popped them in our cupboards. Got a good deal on eBay for them.

Now, fingers crossed your driveshaft arrives so you can try the light out

It’s on its way. Be here tomorrow and boys will fit it straight away so hopefully get away tomorrow.
Managed to extend break to Tuesday night so all is not lost.
I’m just praying this driveshaft fits.

Well its been on the todo list and had some time over the weekend....

Dead'n'ed the front doors.

All i can say is if you're thinking about a speaker upgrade, do this first (both inner & outer door skins), night and day difference on the standard speakers!
Have got some acoustic foam on the way for the door card (not sure i can justify covering these in dodo/silentcoat/dynamat) but will be whipping it all out again to add 10mm insulation/deadening to the outer door skin.

(3rd pic is not the finished article - forgot to take a pic)

As a bit of a result it reminded me about a door handle issue i had where the drivers door handle had not been fitted properly, Now I recon I could fully strip a door in 5 mins at a push

AND....
Only had one clip break on me, seems I now have 29 spare :slow rofl:
Man I'm luvvin it! However, how the merry fcuk do you get the inner door skin out? I removed the bolts but the inner skin remained annoyingly solid, the bottom right came away but the top was not so compliant. I have a 6.1 with the plastic card, I drilled the rivets out and removed the speaker but the friggin thing won't budge and I don't want to break anything...

was it easy to fit the wheel arches
It was fairly straightforward. Easier with 2 people for the long lower door panels. Made sure the paint was free of any dirt, grease or Polish. Ideally fit them on a warm day to give the vhb tape a better chance to adhere. Used plenty of tape so ordered extra. The sections come pre taped but the tape isn't great quality or strong enough hence the extra vhb. Bought them from vanstyle. Good quality mouldings that fit well.

Did you loosen the window carrier clamps? The inner skin carries the window mechanism so the top of it will be clamped to your window and hence not moving. There's a guide on here somewhere (T6 but should be similar?)

Edit. Both T6 card removal guides are in this post.

thanks. might to the same for my Cooper AT3's

Under my close supervision Mrs Sasquatch fitted a GTE style fridge sticker to the, er, fridge in my Swamper. And a mighty fine job she did too.

Im still a bit weak down my left side from the stroke so if I'd done it it would have doubtless ended in frustration, anger, swearing, and things being thrown.
