What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Test fitted interior silver thermal screens from Campervan parts.
front cab and tailgate covers fit well, the slider and opposite window fit is not so great but workable.
unfortunately they did not supply enough suction cups so now have to waste time getting replacements sent out

I was thinking of getting a set of these. They look good.

i had a trial run putting up my new Khyam Sun Canopy, very pleased with it and it's nicely made. i went for a canopy style that you can add the sides and front section too as a bit more Universal than putting the whole Awning up. takes a couple of minutes to put up / take down .
plus with very limited space to dry it it will easily hang up in sections over the bath if need be

P S shop around for the best price some companies seem to be asking a fortune for it

The front windows and tailgate are a great fit.
the passenger slider and opposite are okay.
They have told me the missing suction cups will be in the post Tuesday at the latest so can’t really fault the customer service.
I was looking at van shades pods but the budget won’t stretch at the moment and these are a good compromise as I don’t fancy curtains, the van won’t be a full camper conversion for a few years yet. Until then it’ll be a daily drive / weekend get away with a Kombi bed and these are good enough to provide enough shade to sleep even in the brightest sun (if we ever get any!)

No cutting into the dash required you take the plastic trim off the back of the dash and clip the unit in, you do need to put a couple of screws in the dash to hold the front in. I used fli 5.25" component speakers with crossovers fitted under the speakers, had drill holes for the cables but it's pretty easy to do, you can remove your 12v lighter to pass the cables however I couldn't get mine off easily so just drilled
Thanks for your reply, I will look at getting some of those speakers

A test fit of VW Tailgate awning, useful amount of space without increasing van footprint too much, impressed with quality and fit but clearer diagrams for best velcro positions would have been good. Not pegged out so looks a bit ‘baggy’ in the photo.

so now I can go camp somewhere :)
Hi there,

Those look like the blackout option from Kiravans as just fitting the same in mine. On the sliding door appears that you have fitted the bottom right curtain press stud on to the plastic housing. Is that correct as I was a little concerned about drilling that in case something behind ? Do you have a closer picture ?

Wired rear speaker pins into the head unit and then accidentally started fitting a comfort dash instrument surround
