What Have You Bought Today?

Brought a step.
It seems to fit well, it’s better on drivers side, the passenger side there is a slight difference in door frame profile but it works ok.
You can see by the door frame profile, the shorter versions of these steps won’t work, as there’s no room for a good foot placement, you need the longer version.View attachment 315920

Posted a question on the forum about door catch steps a year or so ago and was put off by reports of them denting the door frame. I assume that you have experienced no such problems. Might be time to look again. Where did this version come from please.

Bought a new bigger full HD TV
It’s 27” works on 12v or 240v and is a smart tv with a DVD player for times with no service to stream.

Got this tracker, self fit. Not Insurance related, more personal peace of mind. Only £72 including 12 months tracking. Should be £79, but moving off the page brought up 10% discount code GPS10.

If you're doing 'the Europe' in your van, some European campsites can have strange EHU posts with polarity wired the wrong way, which could result in dangers to your wellbeing!
A Reverse Polarity EHU lead is the answer, this is the second one I've bought off ebay, the first was genuine Chinesium rubbish.
Received today, this is quality gear.
This is in addition to one of those relatively cheap mains testing plugs with the 3 led's that light up if the socket is kosher.

bought a spare remote key for the Van from the VW Commercial garage Bristol at a cost of £228 for the key and £80 for programming. The local auto locksmiths were useless and could not be bothered to reply for quotes.

Hey ho

The local locksmiths won't be much cheaper in case they coyld do it at all.
Here the urban legend is that any keyfob has to arrive directly from VW Germany so it won't be cheap. That may change with County though. Here there are several limitations even for making a copy of a normal house key, while in other EU countries you just go to the local suk and get it done no questions.

What's a suk?
