Presumably your van doesn't have the Bosch ECU?
I went to new ultimate transporters mate. They are pendle agents. Only drove it home from there, but so much better and smiled all the way back. Much better for pulling out to overtake on the motorway, that was the main reason for me getting it done really

After my trip to the garage with the clutch problem, I bought it a new master cylinder and, unconnected to that issue, a new battery. Considering I was expecting to spend a small fortune on a new clutch etc, I was quite pleased. Using my wife's logic, I have just saved around a grand. Best go shopping for something I suppose.
As I didn't use a VW centre, I guess I probably saved even more. I can therefore spend more money.

I keep thinking about a remap, but can’t bring myself to put any money into Mr Pendle’s pockets. I will have to use some others that are on this forum.
I didnt go to an agent with a rolling road. As the one near me doesnt have one. Its about 170 i belive maybe a bit less

Looks like I spoke too soon. I am so f***ing f***ed off it isn't true. It was repaired and collected Wednesday. I have done 150 miles in it. I moved it in my drive a while ago to wash it (luckily didn't block the drive, although not far off) so we can at least get the car off of it. Got back in to put it back in its place after washing it, and the clutch is exactly the same. Now will have to deal with the garage on Monday. I have just spoken to them, and they want it back in. I have asked that they come and look at it on my drive first, so will have to wait and see what they say on Monday. Glad I haven't gone out and spent the money I saved!

I bought (from black circles) for fit on Wednesday 2x Michelin Agilis Crossclimates. They’ll replace the one tyre that is jiggered and the good one that will come off will be a good spare.
I’ll have the same tyres on all 4 corners, just the way I like it. Tyres cost a few pence under £440 (with 15% off). I’d looked at Costco but they didn’t have the Agilis and any possible savings I could make buying from there would be lost in becoming a member.
