What Have You Bought Today?

A set of Wolfrace X10X 18" wheels in Polar Silver - finally got off the fence and done it, after convincing SWMBO that they are absolutely necessary for my mental wellbeing, and anyway, with the discount code they were a bargain at, ahem, 20 quid each 🤫

Camper Essentials ‘stealth’ awning rails. Bought for both sides. Fitted under the existing roof rails. You would struggle to notice they are there unless you knew they were there. Cannot be seen standing next to the van. Ideal for keeping the vans aesthetic less camper, more Kombi.

Look forward to some pics, these are my favourite wheels

Well, after taking the granddaughter away with me last week, decided I needed one of these.🤣

I have one of these. Very handy. Can't cope with any heavy stuff, but great for dust / sand / crumbs etc. It does need to be kept well charged, and taking the filter out and giving it a thorough clean regularly helps keep it performing well.

In ALDI I found these 8litre laundry baskets on the middle isle, £5 for two.

As we run the back of the Caravelle "railway table style seats" they fill in a handy gap right by the door and the step and wedge in nicely. The Younguns use them to chuck muddy shoes in, rather than just chucking them in the space and then them rolling on to the steps and then out the door when opened...

Very useful to make use of a bit of space and still plenty of space to tuck day bags between the seat backs. Also fit well between the single front seats.

A Victron 75/10 mppt from.Amazon and a Jackery knock off SolarSaga 100 extension lead. Also booked the van in to get the LB terminals tidied up as they're shocking !!

I didn't buy it as such but had a replacement Ridgemonkey Connect Deep Pan & Griddle XL arrive by courier today. We're usually quick to publicise bad customer service on here (and rightly so) but it's also worth sharing good experiences as well. A few weeks both of the handle release catches on my 4 year old Connect broke but replacements were unfortunately out of stock of at Ridgemonkey and they were unable to say when they would be back in. I'd mentioned in a message to them that we were going away on another long trip and really wanted to take the pan with us so without prompting they offered to send me a new one free of charge. Anyway, it arrived on Monday but, unfortunately was the smaller size (which is tiny!). I emailed Ridgemonkey who quickly responded with apologies and said that they would send me an XL immediately, again free of charge, and that I should keep the smaller one as a good will gesture. Generally brilliant service all round and really nice people to deal with too.

Bought some van insurance. Tried all the usual suspects on here like Howdens etc and not one call back or price. Went on comparison sites and found one with £200 cheaper than the next one but had to send documents over for fraud reasons. I don't know about you guys but I tend to mess about with comparison site adding extras the van doesn't have like pop top and air susp etc, generally just loading them with rubbish like fake driving bans, purely out of curiosity. I know I'm a bit sad but I bet others do. Don't you?? Anyway, all these flagged up on a computer and thought i was telling the truth on each quote which left me with no insurance for a few days until I could prove otherwise. So lesson is, don't be idiot like me if you need insurance to start quick time.
