What Have You Bought Today?

Just bought one of these, I didn't even know they were a thing!
Always a pain spinning the 907 bottle round to get the regulator on to the cylinder, hopefully this will make life easier, especially with a gas hose splitter involved this season, Cadac on one side Joolca shower/sink assembly on the other.

Not sure if I’ll get shot for this. Its not replacing my T6.1, its for a new starter and about to get the Ovano drawer system:
Side by side Photo:

I have to say the new one drives well and with lane assist, semi autonomous driving, brake hold when you remove your foot from the brake 360 cameras and blind spot assist, there is a lot of tech for the money considering it was bought for less then the cost of a second hand 2 year old T6.1 matching my spec…

Having done some adhoc camping lite in the Caravelle I'm more convinved that at 5 ish years and a lot of time sat on the drive on the CTEK my battery is getting to be an OAP so grabbed a new Bosch while they are cheap on eBay.

Also I am not leaving the house of CTEK but I have just properly joined Team Blue as a shiny new Victron 15A IP65 charger arrived this week having cashed in some of the cashback and a good deal on Amazon - I could do with more monitoring of what the battery is doing on charge and the ability to act as a power supply might come in handy for camping lite.

Next decision is whether to just make up a Victron->CTEK connector lead to continue using all the CTEK based adaptors I've built, build a new VIctron->Trailer Socket adaptor or finally get around to hooking charging connectors up to the battery when I change it...

Gosh, you'll be thinking about a poptop next! Good to hear from you again RT, missed you!

Life has been a bit mental with a lot of upheaval at work and one of the YoungUns having a T1D diagnosis leaving a lot less time for tinkering.

But we have been getting out in the van to get some chill out time too.

Sadly a poptop isn't in the future for this van with the roof mounted AC - but my bashed head and cramped back when I try and stopover in it reminds me of the advantages

Just arranged delivery of my retrimmed Sunvisors. Should be delivered just after I get back from Spain. Installation of them and the trimmed B Pillar panels next week after van service at local VW dealership.

Nothing too exciting today - dropped Van off for timing belt & water pump change. Would rather spend it on something more fun, but the peace of mind isn’t bad. Also a S+S windbreak to accompany the new tarp awning (S+S).
Got the tarp, been looking at the windbreak as my stripey scarbados special has seen better days.

Let me know what the quality is like please.
