Most wet wipes are made of plastic. We’ve switched to a spray bottle with soap / water mix and kitchen roll.
I don’t like wearing shoes in the house or the van. If we're set up for the night on site then these go on. Lovely and warm!
Combine with Peter's gardening shoes for emergency visits
Oh for sure, you have to set yourself up properly. There's no point in scrimping after spending £xxk on a van and then not being warm and prepared. I know your comment is partly in jest but I have most of the things mentioned, apart from the dog, freezer and the weird looking slippers and no trailer or roof box required here. Who’d of thought a vehicle originally designed to carry tools and/or building materials is capable of carrying relatively light, smallish camping gear?

I do get all of that, I go on camping trips on my motorbike and space is a premium (light weight tent, minimum comfort, limited changes of clothes, etc.) but a van has a lot more storage room then a bicycle or motorbike, so why not take a few extra essential/luxury items? I’m on the advrider forum too and the pissing contests people have on there, about who takes the least amount of stuff is laughable at times, it’s like that monty python sketch about whose poorest.
