What are you.... EATING tonight/today?

A half portion of home made curry. The missus has this daft idea that 20 stone is too heavy for me at 6'5", so she's put me on small portions of her delicious home cooking.

A nice glass of Oasis summer fruits to wash it down. Living on the edge!

I was recommended >>THIS BOOK<< by a friend of mine and he swears by it for his curries.



1st job, pop to the local Asian market and replenish my spice cupboard, would have been cheaper to just phone up the local Indian and order a meal, but where is the fun in that?

Stage 1: Start with the base curry sauce, a bit laborious, but I made it in bulk and froze it down into portionable sizes.

Stage 2: Stew your meat, not as labour intensive as stage 1, again, have made enough stock to freeze and reserve for another day.

You don’t often drop on a campsite with a Michelin Guide restaurant onsite, but when you do, it would be rude not to. The suckling pig was exceptional…
Campsite near the city. Friendly staff. Sanitary area old but ok. Pool looks great and grounds are shaded and well maintained. I definitely recommend booking in advance and knowing exactly how long you want to stay. Spontaneity is not possible here despite the off-season. Registration until 10 p.m.
