What Are They Worth?

Evening All.
Back from Ireland, a very busy hectic week. Aimee finished in 36th place, 7th junior girl (a junior is someone who is 14 and under). She was the first girl who was 13.
She learnt a lot, and the national coaches said she had improved a lot over the coaching sessions that they had. She went as the 5th and final pick of the GBR girls, with the others already in the National Squad. Breaking it down into key achievements, she had races where she beat two of those other GBR girls, and one race where she was only 6 places behind the girl who claimed 2 junior girl and highest places GBR girl. So she certainly held her own.
Meanwhile, whilst we were in Ireland, boy child was racing in Poole. Four races, finished 42nd out of 145, and actually recorded a 3rd place in one of those races. So he had a good weekend too.
Thank you all so much for your continued donations, we are eternally grateful.

Spent the week at the National Schools Sailing Association with boy child this last week, held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
10 races completed; a win, 3x 2nds, and a 3rd all aided in getting him to finish 2nd overall in the Topper fleet.
He also won the single hander trophy, which was a one off race.
Thanks again for all of your donations that have made this possible.

Next stop Topper National Championships in Largs, Scotland. Leaving Friday.
Poor old van is having a bit of a hard time of it.

Well, it would appear that the suffering of driving the pair of them all over the country for the past year has worked.

Daughter has been selected for the Royal Yachting Association UK Junior Squad.

Son has been selected for the International Topper Class Association GBR National Youth Squad.

Therefore, simply put, whilst both in National Squad, they are in different squads, meaning all their training camps are on different dates in different locations. Poor van is going to be getting a right old pasting.

Well done to both of them mate.

Top news. Makes all your efforts and sacrifices easier to swallow when achievements like this come about.

Great news - well done to both of them and we hope they keep going on to bigger and better things on the water (and beyond!)
