Hi all,
Trying to see if it is just me being pedantic and OCD on noises in a T6.1 Converison.
Only been using mine for a week, and trying to ascertain if it is normal to have some squeaks and rattles from furniture and compartments (Nothing in them yet).
It become s quite evident on roads where the tar is crumbling and becoming rough.

Is it part of van life to have an element of it, or should I put it down to a bad build and start a long fault finding process.

Many thanks

If it’s in warranty approach the converter for a solution, most conversions cost an small fortune so you have good grounds to complain.

Bought it second hand from a reputable caravan centre and have a 6 month warranty but I guess not on the original build.
Only had 6k miles. But no one has any idea who did the conversion. Frustrating. Test drove it on smooth open road so only become evident now. Might try trace previous owner and ask them

My all seasons is really quiet. I had a little creaking from the roof gps aerial thingy rubbing on the underside of the roof but sorted that now.

My all seasons drives me nuts. I wear ear plugs when riding the motorbike and think I might use them when driving the van. It’s honestly that bad. The conversion is six years old but the quality of latches and hinges are poor and the fitting of the catch plates looks like a blind person did it.
Whenever I drive the Golf after the van I think I’ve gone deaf.

Must of been a Friday afternoon fit out! I had a couple of little rattles on cupboards but fitted some cabinet bumpers and it’s worked a treat.

I’ve fitted some bumpers too, it did help but not enough.
The conversion looks fantastic- always gets a lot of compliments, but when the van is moving or even when closing cubby doors it’s a different story.
Some of the wiring isn’t the best either. Too thin for n my mind and too many unnecessary joints.
Hopefully they’ve upped their game a bit over the last few years. Or like you say, maybe it was a Friday afternoon job.

I did test drive other campers including a Danbury conversion and they all rattled a bit to be fair. Roads are only getting rougher too.

Mrs Sasquatch's lease car is an MG ZS EV.

It's quick, comfortable, well kitted, ugly as hell, and squeaks like a family of mice at a rave. There isn't a piece of trim on the entire car that doesn't make a noise. Fortunately we don't actually own it so we're happy just to turn the radio up. It'd have to be a poor camper indeed to sound as bad as that.
