I picked up the Alpine iLX W690D a couple of weeks back from Jason @Absolut5 with the full harness and fascia kit. I had to wait until this Wednesday to install it whilst I was waiting for my Nextbase 522GW dashcam and hardwire kit order to come in. (I didn’t want to pull the A pillar trim off twice).
All installed with a little help from Noel when I got stuck with a couple of the connections - he was very gracious when asking if I’d read the instructions that were in the box and I said what instructions? They were there, I’d not looked at them. Just trying to resolve the Parking sensor issue as they do not appear to be working properly.

Thank you Jason @Absolut5 for helping me fix the Parking sensors issue. It turns out there is a setting for can/if box, parking assist enable which by default is off. Selected to on and all is smiles. Thanks Jason, have a great weekend.
What instructions? To be fair - you don't get much in the way of instructions. My confession, everyone else's amusement!@davecdjt have you read the instructions for the parking sensors?
LOL…… I think we all try and ignore instructions like the plague!
Any chance Of an image or two with the screen on mate. Also if it’s not too cheeky can I have a pic of the side profile, to see what how far t sits proud of the dash?

pics I took yesterday, you can tilt the screen, move screen up and down (have to move screws first for height adjustment)
Up to a few months ago we installed many but with shortages it was nice installing this one, in my opinion it’s the best tablet headunit, super fast, intuitive
How does this one compare to the alpine halo 9 and 11? Will be looking to upgrade at some point. Thanks

No it’s a kenwood. The alpines don’t have a big knob haha
Yep you are indeed correct. I thought these were the images I asked @Absolut5 to post as he had a Halo 11 unit to be installed for a forum member.

What made you change your mind on the Alpine mate?
Fitted it myself , got a kit from @Absolut5 pretty straight forward, If you want cameras then you will need to cut into a live feed on the harness, bought my unit from a fellow poster on here so I can't help with costs.
The main reason was the wireless android auto and it was strongly recommended by Jason the alpine would have been a gamble as it is a brand new model with not many reviews yet but the ones I have seen have all been positive and I’m sure it’s going to do very well, also I had a kenwood in my last van so sometimes better the devil you know it was not down to price as the kenwood was dearest
