Been lurking on this forum for a while, but having just bought a VIP membership thought time to introduce myself.

We bought a ‘22 plate LWB shuttle a few months back with plans to convert into a simple camper/dayvan. Rough plan is to ditch the third row of seats for a bed with Slidepod/ bench seat with rear kitchen, and keep the front pretty standard (outside of front swivels). We know we’ll need a pop top at some point so debating whether to bite the bullet now or hang fire until our kids (2 and 4) are old enough to properly use it.

I’ve just bought a 2020 Transporter T6.1, high roof L2H3, DSG. Over the next few months this beauty will be converted into a simple camper and will be turning up on the roads here in Norway.

I didn't realise the sliding door went to the full height, I thought they were the same as the standard van?

Hi All
New to this site even though we have had our T6 for about 8yrs and have regularly had a look around on this forum when looking for inspiration or honest reviews,We have been steadily tweaking our van over the years , this year built a trailer/ out door kitchen and in the new year going for full interior upgrade and custom conversion done.
So thought it would be a great time to join in.

Hi and thanks Paul for the access. Just bought a 2017 T6 ex RAC and starting to do a few jobs on it already. Hit a major issue yesterday with an Android head unit supposedly draining the battery, but it looks like the previous owner actually stuck a non Start Stop Battery in it so might have to look at replacing that. Don't really use Start stop but guess that even with it turned off there maybe still be an issue. Going for a service tomorrow so will ask the garage, but please anyone feel free to chip in and advise, as the SS batteries can be quite pricey. Thanks

Hey all, I'm in the process of buying my first Transporter/Multivan but been a VW tragic for decades lol, my new whip will be a 2019 Black Edition here in Sydney Australia and I cannot wait!
From searching around this looks like a great friendly forum with heaps of info, hopefully I can contribute in some way too.....
