Weird noise from engine bay

Hi
I need a bit of help having bitten the bullet and traded up from a t4 888 special to a Euro 6 102 campervan I am experiencing a grating noise sounds like rattling bearing from the engine area and my fuel consumption has dropped to 24 mpg doing a steady 60 mph on the M3 today has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem is

Welcome. Assuming you have not had it long I would take it back under warranty.

Are you sure it's not doing a DPF regeneration? The injection timing changes and the engine does sound harsher.
