Water In Oil?

Hi all. I have a 2018 T6 van which I look after very well. No heavy loads or running it hard. She’s done 15,600 miles.
I have the engine bay a clean yesterday and checked the oil. I topped up the oil and found a white residue on the oil cap and in the neck going to the sump.
I’d always been taught that this was a sign of water in the oil, a gasket leaking and to get it fixed straight away.
Am I being daft or is there a problem on basically a new vehicle?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Julian.

Thanks all. It seems it’s not a problem but as some one else wrote in another post, I’ll let the dealer know anyway and see what they say just to document it in case anything goes wrong. And costly!
Cheers again.
