Has anybody had this light come up and flash at the same time had a loud ticking noise from engine turned off back on , no flashing light no ticking noise ?!?!?

I drove for 1 min until I could pull over and switch engine off ???

Take it to your dealer get them to plug it in, any error of fault code will be logged in the memory

Get it checked out, cos if two of the above come on It's a regen fault.

We had to drive 5 miles to get home tonight and by the time we got here the engine was red red hot and big fan kicked in for 10 mins once we stopped

Sounds like it was doing a regen when you turned it off, if so that's normal behaviour

I had this with an A class when they first come out and after 2 thousand miles from new and I had smoke coming in the car and looked like it was on fire under the bonnet Mercedes gave me a new car !!!
