Does anyone have any experience with the Van Comfort internal screens....saw them at the NEC show. They are thick and well insulated and look well made, as they should be for £120 for the three front windows. (They also do external screens and wraps for most pop tops FYI). Thanks.

Trouble with internal screens is you can get a build up of condensation between the cover and the screen. I always use external screen that prevent this.

Stop your heavy breathing  I've not experienced it but I have my windows cracked open so that helps.

I think avoiding condensation totally is a real challenge....heating the van means more moisture in the air (and therefore more likelihood of moisture on cold surfaces-windows and bare metal, for example), so ventilation is very important. Raising the roof creates an even larger void to heat, with only a canvas skin (tents anyone?) how breathable are these new canvases? Front windows dropped an inch or so will help, especially if you have wind deflectors to stop rain driving in. Sliding windows are probably a security risk, and will let rain in. I guess there is no easy guaranteed solution.

Yes this is the only reason I have wind deflectors, great for ventilation when camping. My pop top has vents you can open, and one you can't shut and I find that fine, I don't get condensation with inner screens. I don't like the idea of outside screens, no good for wild camping and a pain to put away wet.

Mind you I'm a bit of a wuss and don't go camping in the winter anyway :p
