VW VC Wrexham

Well, my first experience with the above was not a good one. Booked my campervan for its 1st service with them at the beginning of October (through their website booking portal,). Received a confirmation email with the booking on 31.10.2022 @ 13:30.

Took a half a day off from work drove 45 miles to them to be told that my appointment was at 08:30 despite the email confirmation clearly stating 13:30, the service manager was polite and apologized, but they could not accommodate me for the afternoon slot as they had other bookings. I wasn't amused at all, just totally waisted journey (90 miles).

Opposite of VW Trafford, countless emails, texts and phone calls to make sure you are coming!

Poor implementation of a booking system I guess.

Totally, just a single confirmation email, and that's it.

I used them for service when my van was in warranty, never had any issues.
Once the warranty was done I moved to my independent vw specialist in Shrewsbury

If an organisation / company can't answer the phone and TALK to a customer I'm not using them. I can talk to people at my local indy garage, I don't get any of the B.S. described above.
All this website portal nonsense isn't there for your convenience and it won't give you the quality of service that you will overpay for.

I've just booked mine in at Hereford over the phone. That way you get exactly what you ask for. 8:30 waiting appointment and first van in the workshop. So by the time I've emptied their coffee machine and filled my pockets with biscuits, it'll be done.

Who are you using in Shrewsbury? if you don't mind sharing

I have to say I've not had a problem with Wrexham VW and have always phoned for a booking, but i am looking for some one more local who i can trust

I always use Llandudno. Well worth the drive up the coast.

Such a shame that there isn't an VW VC in Shrewsbury as I am in Newtown, hence closest and easier to get to is Wrexham (I don't fancy Aberystwyth road).

See how much better it is when you can actually talk to someone on the phone. If only it was still possible to have a conversation with a Planning Officer just like we could in the 'old days'.

I never had any issues with them and got a top[ deal on my last van , however like you its a pain in the ass to get there
