I have noticed Carista doesn't always associate codes correctly. The 00288 probably doesn't belong to ABS.

More likely the actual fault code is 0288 - Steering angle sensor
To determine more details we would need fault code extension, which Carista unfortunately can't provide.
Also the dash messages (ESC, TPMS fail) could be consequences of failure in steering angle sensor.

Any work done in the neighbourhood of steering wheel ?

Nowadays Carista can show some live data - by any chance anything about steering angle to verify the sensor is alive?

Where can i get s new steering angle sensor from and is it hard to fit?

I've not had any work done on the steering. The errors just popped up when i was driving one day.
