Vw T6 engine remap

Hi

Looking for some advice.

Brough a secondhand T6 LWB transporter from a VW dealer in Feb which is till under warranty. Having previously driven a T5 for 12years, I find the T6 clutch pedal really difficult to use. Appears to stick and does not release from being fully depressed very smoothly. Thought it may just have been a matter of adjusting to new van (T5 clutch was a dream) but its definitely not right.

Has anybody experienced a similar problem with T6's?

The main issue is I have had a pendle remap down shortly after buying the van; clutch issue became apparent before I had remap done. My question is will the warranty be made void as a result of having the engine remapped??? Will they detect it during assessment of the clutch??

Cheers
Paul

They will know if they connect to your vehicle and run any kind of diagnostics but this only relates to the engine so cant see how the clutch pedal can be affected by a remap so dont think they have any grounds to refuse you

For the dealer to deny/reject warranty work they have to show that a fault is a direct consequence of a user change/modification, some of them will try their luck as they can charge you more than they can VW but dont take no for an answer and if they refuse ring VWUK
