Evening all, a nice lady has hit the drivers wing mirror on my T6 Kombi and the cable to the sat nav inside the mirror has been damaged. Now ny sat nav thinks I'm in the sea! I have had a look on ebay for a replacement lead/antenna but they all appear to be for the older sat navs. Does anyone know what model satnav I have and if it has the FAKRA connection?

The GPS Antenna and the others have a connector inside the door/Mirror housing,

and another inside the A-Pillar i think.

makes things easier when replacing due to damage. So you dont need to run a new lead all the way back to the Nav.

Note
t On removing mirror housing and lower trim on mirror, these components are destroyed. They must be renewed in each case.
t This aerial is installed in right mirror housing.
t In the case of a new aerial for navigation, adhesive strip for securing is included in delivery.

Just remove your damaged one and match it up with a new ebay one, The connector is the important bit.

I think most GPS Antennas have the FAKRA connection.

I’ve just had the reversing camera wired into the back of the head unit and my day nav thinks I’m in the sea too. Not had any damage to the mirrors. Any ideas?

GPS normally needs a hour or so to get a fix after a cold start.....

Or have a look at the Farka GPS connector at the back of the satnav..... might be loose?

I drove with it for about 3 hours but didn’t have the satnav on, just used the App on my phone. Do you think I need to drive around with it on for a bit first then perhaps check the connector at the back out?

Yes, If it doesntr lock on after an hour or so out in the open & driving . . . . . (and it did work before)

then you need to check the GPS antenna connection at the rear , , , , it many be loose or damaged.

Thats terrible, aftermarket stuff that I've had will normally lock on to 6-10 satellites in less than 5 minutes.
