VW suspension standard or upgrade?

Hi all, apologies if this has been discussed before, kinda new to this forum.

I’m currently debating whether to revert back to standard VW suspension after having Stance+ on my van for a few years.

Reasons for going back standard is I’m wanting thicker tyres currently running with 245/45/18’s and more ground clearance, I tend to park up in not so well maintained car parks in the highlands when I’m working and I cracked my fuel tank last month. My question is, are there any alternatives on the market that offer standard height but gives a better ride and feels more responsive that doesn’t break that bank?
