Ford and VW are going to look at jointly developing vehicles???

My 2001 Ford Galaxy 1.9tdi had the VW symbol cast into the block! Many other parts had VW stickers on them.
VW badged their version of the Galaxy as the Sharan.
No complaints, I sold it as a runner with a year's MOT with 207,000 miles on the clock when it was 12 years old. It was probably the most reliable, economical and practical car I ever owned. I serviced it myself from about 80K and it certainly didn't get a new cambelt every 4 years!
 
That’s going to test brand loyalty....as a fleet vehicle the transporter range is more expensive than the transit range....that’s why the Skoda mark does really well compared to VW ...using mostly all the same parts....it’s all down to economics
but might put up the value of a good T6 ?
 
Just been reading about the new vw and Ford partnership on the amrok and Ranger..

from this article it says new Amarok shared the Ford power train, gearbox, suspension etc…

do you think this will be the case of the new transporter taking mostly Ford parts?

do you think this will ruin the heritage of vw?

would you trade in / buy one?
