VW assist?

Is it a service you pay extra for, or is it for anyone still under warranty?
This service was not mentioned to me on collection, so not sure if it’s open to me. I’m under warranty until jan 2022 though.

Looks like it’s only for up to 1 year old vans, then a paid service. Have I got that right?

I read that it is partnered with AA so I have that anyway. Anything special about the VW assist over AA cover that should make me consider getting it!

You should be covered until your warranty expires. One of the benefits is that you can ask for a VW Tech call out rather than a standard AA Tech.

Runs with the warranty then it is a paid-for service. I had 3 years with it from new the paid for 2 years.

VW have just added it for 4 years on mine. They said 3yrs is standard and then threw a 4th in as a sweetener. They also added 4 free services and 4yrs warranty into the deal. So 4yrs VW assist, 4 yrs warranty and 4 years servicing. They sent some paperwork outlining the deal that was sent direct from VWUK and not the dealer.
Oh and a set of heavy duty rubber mats and a full tank of fuel.

Not all vans have a spare. Look under the passenger seat for a foam kit and small compressor.

Single passenger and nothing under there.

Looks like the spare is missing then ! Mine did not have the cradle fitted but it did have a foam kit under the single passenger seat.

I mailed the dealer about the spare wheel, and they just said 'we've got them in stock, come and get one'. Easy peasy!
And I've found the VW assist info.
